In which we wheeze a bit
This is the scene out of my 5th-floor office window. Not even on the smaugiest days is it ever anything like it is today. The very air rankles. I feel like Frodo in Mordor. Not good, especially for one who cycles everywhere. Compare this photo with the one I took from the same spot the day that the Griffith Park fire broke out, March, 2007:
