Smokin!

In which we get a 36,000-foot view of SoCal's big smoke

Snapped this pic while flying up to the Bay Area last week. The Day Fire, as it's called, has so far burned more than 130,000 acres in and around the Los Padres National Forest. It continues to burn, more than two weeks after some jackass lost control of his campfire. From the air, it seemed that the pall of smoke stretched from San Diego to Monterey.

It really ticks me off because I was just beginning to explore this magnificent wilderness of mountain peaks that reach as high as 9000 feet. I hope the idiot who started it gets fat.
